Fading jeans trousers by rotating in a drum with stones - volcanic pumice or perlite
(stone washing) or by using a solution of enzyme cellulase.
Biopolishing:
Using cellulase for removal of fuzz from surface of cellulose fibres eliminates pilling
and makes fabric smooth and clean looking.

Decatizing - hot water immersion, blowing through with steam, cold water again, makes
denim shrink.
Sandblasting - jeans trousers fitted onto inflatable legs are blasted with abrasive particles
pulled into pressurized water jet.
Final effect is obtained by hand sanding with grit paper.
Stone bleach - jeans trousers are grinded with pumice stones soaked in bleach. No water.
