Yarns used for weaving denim are:
Open-End - cotton fibers are twisted together by a vortex, while pulling out the rotating container,
Ring - yarn passes through the traveller running around the ring, winds up onto the bobbin,
Core spun - yarn with elastic fiber as a core and cotton fibers as a sheath.
The fabrics:
- not expensive Open-End/Open-End,
- the highly priced Ring/Ring,
- the Stretch.
The main product is denim.
The weight per unit area ranges from 6.5 to 14.5 ounces per square yard.
